Alexandrite is the very rare color-change variety of the mineral chrysoberyl. Colours change from blue to teal green and purple. Originally discovered in Russia’s Ural Mountains in the 1830’s, it’s now found in Sri Lanka, East Africa, and Brazil, but is exceptionally rare and valuable. Natural Alexandrite is extremely rare and more expensive than even diamonds, especially bigger carat stones. Our Alexandrite’s are lab grown via the Czochralski pulled method.
