The plating will wear over time exposing the sterling silver, gold or platinum. Black rhodium rings are not fully black, rings will be somewhat light black in colour. We do our best to get as black as possible but the process varies each time.

I was very lucky to be given the eternite coffin ring as an engagement ring, Id had my eye on it for some time! All the rings SSD do look absolutely gorgeous and its wonderful to be able to have a ring thats so alternative to the norm. Its perfect for me and I cant stop staring at it!
